When you are planning a business or pleasure trip, check out the advantages of renting a car. For many travelers this adds another dimension to their trip but not all. Let's not forget, that for many people, driving a car, especially when not in heavy traffic, is enjoyable. When you drive on your own, or with a friend or loved one, you get to see the sights in a way that otherwise they cannot be seen. You can stop whenever you want to a take your time at an historic location or a pleasure spot. As long as the driver can keep sober, you will be all right. Spending even $300-a-week on all rental and gas expenses will still be a fraction of your hotel bill in most location, and it's a totally different experience than being stuck on a tour bus.
